my friend found this headboard on the side of the road. yes, these are the treasures we find in Orange County. nuts.
at our painting party earlier this week, it was decided we’d paint this lovely in Annie Sloan Antoinette.
after two coats, the girls left and the headboard dried. after i put the kids down, cleaned the kitchen, obsessed on Pinterest for a while, and ran a few loads of laundry, i headed into the garage. it was my reward for finishing all my chores. 🙂
so i got out a tiny brush and painted thin white stripes to give this piece a bit more charm.
lightly sanded then applied clear wax. i considered doing some dark wax, but then changed my mind as i thought the piece would be cuter with a clean, crisp look.
what do you think? anyone wanna buy this?
